Indictments handed down for shooting, abduction, hit-and-run in Northampton

Nykeem Ijour Bailey, 18, of Birdsnest, was indicted Nov. 8 on 10 felony charges from events occurring between June 14 and June 15. He was charged with malicious shooting, malicious shooting from a motor vehicle, malicious shooting at an occupied vehicle, intentional property damage of $1,000 or more, malicious shooting at an occupied building, wearing a mask with the intent to conceal his identity, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, unlawfully shooting in the commission of a felony, malicious shooting as part of a mob, and possession of a firearm by a person under age 29 who was an adjudicated delinquent at age 14 or older for an act that would have been a felony if committed by an adult. He was arrested July 24 and held without bail.

John Davis Barbour, 19, of Onancock, was indicted Nov. 8 on five felony charges from events occurring between June 14 and June 15. Charges included malicious shooting, malicious shooting from a motor vehicle, malicious shooting at an occupied vehicle, malicious shooting at an occupied building, and intentional property damage of $1,000 or more. He also faces misdemeanor charges of reckless handling of a firearm.

Barbour was arrested and held without bail, but he was released on $7,500 secured bond on Aug. 2.

Shantell Nicole Campbell, 38, of Cape Charles, was indicted Nov. 8 on two felony charges for events occurring between Nov. 11, 2022, and July 24, 2023. Charges included embezzling $1,000 or more and stealing $1,000 or more.

She was arrested on Jan. 17 and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Alvarez Eugenio Gonzalez, 66, of Eastville, was indicted Nov. 8 on a felony charge of failing to register as a sex offender on March 15, 2022.

He was arrested and held without bail on Sept. 4.

Donnell L. Johnson, 39, of Exmore, was indicted Nov. 8 on a felony charge of abduction by force to deprive a person of liberty for an incident on or around Aug. 11.

He was arrested and held without bail on Aug. 11.

Johnson also faces misdemeanor charges of assault of a family member, intentional property damage of less than $1,000, and damaging or destroying a phone line to prevent a person from calling for help.

He was released Sept. 25 on $5,000 secured bond.

Nicholas Edward Petrillo, 19, of Painter, was indicted Nov. 8 on nine felony charges, which occurred between June 14 and June 15. He was charged with malicious shooting, shooting a firearm from a motor vehicle, malicious shooting at an occupied vehicle, intentional property damage of $1,000 or more, malicious shooting at an occupied building, wearing a mask to conceal his identity, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting in the commission of a felony, and malicious shooting while part of a mob.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless handling of a firearm.

Petrillo was arrested and held without bail July 16.

Keith Allen Pruitt, 68, of Exmore, was indicted Nov. 8 on a felony charge of strangling another and causing injury on June 2.

He was arrested and held without bail July 31.

Pruitt also faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

He was released Aug. 6 on $2,500 secured bond.

Henry Soto Bruno, 27, of Passaic, N.J., was indicted Nov. 8 on a felony charge of hit-and-run and causing property damage of $1,000 or more on Feb. 12.

He was arrested and released on $3,000 unsecured bail on June 26.

Khiry Di’Fredrick Washington, 27, of Cheriton, was indicted Nov. 8 on two felony charges for incidents occurring between June 14 and June 15. He was charged with shooting from a vehicle and malicious shooting at an occupied vehicle.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless handling of a firearm.

He was arrested and held without bail on July 17.

Michael Glenn Robinson, 54, of Cape Charles, was indicted Nov. 8 on two felony charges from incidents occurring on March 30. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, while having a previous DWI-related felony, and possession of a Schedule I or II drug.

He also received a summons for driving with an open container of alcohol.

Robinson was arrested and held without bail on March 30.

He was released April 30 on $2,500 secured bond.

Robinson’s bond was revoked after Virginia State Police pulled him over on June 28 for driving with a suspended license. He told police he had drunk a beer that morning, and testing showed his blood alcohol level was 0.029.

He was arrested and held without bail July 12.

Robinson was released Sept. 26 on $2,500 unsecured bond.

Justin E. Taylor, 40, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was indicted Nov. 8 on a felony charge of hit-and-run and causing damage of $1,000 or more on July 3.

He was arrested and held without bail on July 3.

Taylor also faces misdemeanor charges of driving without a license and reckless driving by failing to yield when entering the highway.

He was released July 8 on $2,000 secured bond.

William Trevaugh Markise Townsend, 30, of Cape Charles, was indicted Nov. 8 on a felony charge of eluding police and endangerment for an incident on Oct. 25, 2020.

He was arrested and held without bail on Sept. 5.

Townsend also faces misdemeanor charges of selling, giving, or distributing more than four ounces but less than one pound of marijuana, hit-and-run and causing damage of more than $500, and reckless driving by driving out of control or with bad brakes.

Christian White, 21, of Fayetteville, N.C., was indicted Nov. 8 on four felony charges: unauthorized use of a motor vehicle worth $1,000 or more, two counts of child abuse and neglect, and eluding police and endangerment, all stemming from events on Aug. 26.

White was arrested and held without bail on Aug. 26.

White also faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving by speeds over 85 mph.
