Mrs. Joyce Faye Wilson, 78, of Chincoteague Island, passed away on July 20, 2024, at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1945, on Chincoteague Island, to the late Dalton and Bertie (Peterson) Outten.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague. She worked as a secretary for over 40 years at Eastern Shore Community College in Melfa.
Faye is survived by her loving spouse of 55 years, Harry “Buck” Wilson, of Chincoteague.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Royce Outten.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, with the Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Burial was in the John Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville.
