Mr. Carlton Norwood Justice Jr., 86, of Wattsville, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at his residence with his family by his side.

Born in Wattsville on Aug. 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Carlton N. Justice Sr. and the late Marie P. Justice. In his younger days he was known for setting the record for the 220-yard dash at Atlantic High School at 21.8 seconds — a record that still stands to this day. Carlton was employed by Holly Farms/Tyson Foods for many years. He also farmed and raised chickens.

Carlton was a member of Wattsville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed tending to his garden.

Other than his parents, Carlton was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Lula Mae Justice.

Carlton is survived by two sons, Aldon N. “Mickey” Justice and Robin, of Wattsville, and Aubrey L. Justice and Valerie, of Saxis; a sister, Beverly Parks and Bobby, of Wallops Island; and a brother, Jack Justice and Mariann, of Salisbury, Md.; grandchildren, Julie Shreaves and Bryan, Ashley Justice, and Cameron Linton, all of Saxis; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Shreaves, Bryan Shreaves III, Brylee Shreaves, and Paisley Linton, all of Saxis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no services per Carlton’s request. He just wanted to be reunited with his wife.
