Mrs. Joanne Williams Latimer, 74, wife of the late James Burleigh Latimer and a resident of Eastville, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation in Parksley. A native of Newport News, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Taylor Williams and the late Anne Louise Duff Williams. Joanne was a retired registered nurse.
She is survived by two children, Matthew Burleigh Latimer and his wife, Erica, of Huddleston, and Anne Marie Latimer, of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren, Paige Latimer, Ethan Latimer, William Latimer, Dimitrie Pyatt, Calynn Rose Latimer, and Perry Joseph Latimer.
A graveside service was conducted Thursday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at the Trower Collins Latimer Cemetery in Cape Charles with the Rev. Shaun Smith officiating.
