Mrs. Martha Coleburn Young, 85, passed away March 9, 2024, at home surrounded by family. Born May 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph French and the late Dacia Parks Coleburn.
Mrs. Young was born in Accomac in her family’s home, a place very dear to her. She graduated from airline school in New York City and also worked at DuPont before returning to the Shore to marry and devote the remainder of her life to her family. Martha valued close friends, humor, and well appointed homes.
Mrs. Young is survived by three children, Ann Justis, Robert Young, and Greg Young, and a very special son-in-law, Clay Justis. She was the proud grandmother of Thomas, Cole, Robert, Philip, Ann Holt, Grace, Mason, and Angel, and she was the proud great-grandmother of Penelope, Luca, Ruby, and William.
She was predeceased by her husband, the Honorable Thomas William Young.
Private services will be held.
Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
