Mr. Harold Monroe Ford, of Belle Haven, born Feb. 28, 1951, in Mullins, S.C., passed away Dec. 13, 2023, peacefully at his cabin in West Jefferson, N.C. surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Daniel Roy Ford Jr. and Louise Strickland Ford.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Dolly Angela Ford and Mary Louise Ford Wynn.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cathy Thornton Ford; two brothers, Kenneth Leroy Ford and John Douglas Ford; two sisters, Lois Ford Holland and Deborah Ford Thayer; three children, Nathan Luke Ford, Rachel Beth Ford Rodriguez, and Catherine Denise Ford. He was a grandfather to five grandchildren and an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was an avid gardener, birdwatcher, sport fisherman, and friend to any and all who met him including Jesus Christ.
The family wishes to thank Billy and Pat Thornton for the immeasurable amount of support and companionship they provided during this time.
His earthly remains are being prepared for rest at Boone Family Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Liberty Spring Christian Church, Suffolk.
