Mrs. Sara Lewis Wood, 78, passed away at her residence on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023. Her parents were the late Harry Martin Lewis and the late Catherine Twyford Lewis. She was predeceased by her husband, Calvin Wood.
Sara operated a beauty shop in Nassawadox until she retired. She was a member of Cheriton Baptist Church in Cheriton.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas Lewis and his wife, Karla, from Bowling Green, Va.; her niece, Mary Frances Lowe and her husband, Dave; sons, Jacob and Anthony, of Chesapeake; and her nephew, David Thomas Lewis and his wife, Ratna, and children, Sita Clare and John Hanuman, of Mechanicsville.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Belle Haven Cemetery in Belle Haven, Va. with the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating.
