FALL PUMPKIN HUNT: 6 p.m., Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague, will have its inaugural Fall Pumpkin Hunt at the church’s activities building and on the grounds, 6365 Church St., Chincoteague. It is for ages 1 year to fifth grade. There will be a pumpkin hunt, puppets, and a menu of hot dogs, chips, and dessert.

DANCE: 6:30 p.m., “Zombie Prom” Halloween Dance Party with DJ Sleepy at the Exmore Moose Lodge, 15315 Merry Cat Lane, Belle Haven.

HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS: 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Great Pocomoke Fair, 2037 Broad St., Pocomoke City. $1 haunted house, hay rides, food, and halloween movie beginning at 7 p.m.

STORYTELLING: 7 p.m., Chincoteague Storytelling Guild at the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance, 6309 Church St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The topic is spooky tales. Admission is free and there is a cash bar.

LIVE MUSIC: 7:30 p.m., The Orchestra of the Eastern Shore will perform “A Glimpse of Paradise,” a free concert, at Market Street United Methodist Church, Onancock. Paul Sanho Kim is the music director. Donations will be accepted.

Saturday, October 28

BENEFIT BREAKFAST: 8 a.m. to noon, Mears Memorial United Methodist Church will host a pancake breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, and juice will be offered for $10. The church is located on Second Street in Keller.

STORYTIME: 10 a.m., the Parksley library will host firefighter Dan Teague for its Hometown Heroes Storytime.

FESTIVAL: 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Art and Food Festival sponsored by the United Women of Franktown Church will be held at the church. There will be local artsits and vendors, baked goods, frozen foods, pimento cheese, cheese balls, chicken salad, and soups. Lunch will be available.

FALL BAZAAR: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Andrew Chapel Fall Bazaar. Homemade foods, clothing, and more. The church is located at 15151 Cashville Road, Cashville.

HALLOWEEN AT THE MUSEUM: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Delmarva Discovery Museum, 2 Market St., Pocomoke City. Dress up in a costume and participate in a “spooky scavener hunt.”

FALL FESTIVAL: noon to 2 p.m., there will be a Melfa Park Fall Festival at the town park. Each trunk will be decorated with carnival games to play and treats to win. There will be hot dogs and drinks provided.

PUMPKIN CARVE: Noon to 4 p.m., the Great Pumpkin Carve at Onancock Town Square, presented by the Brockmeier family. Choose a pumpkin, and get creative with your carving. Illumination of all pumpkins will be on the evenings of Oct. 28 and Oct. 29.

MUD HOP: noon, Old Fashioned Mud Hop at 316 Dirt Drags, 20305 Greenbush Road, Greenbush. Gates open at 8 a.m. $20 per person and children 10 and younger are free.

HALLOWEEN EVENT: 1 to 4 p.m, second annual Cape Charles Halloween Hootenanny, Cape Charles Central Park. Hayrides, craftrs, petting zoo, games, bounce houses, costume contests, face painteing, and more. Trunk-or-treating on Main Street to follow.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: 2 p.m., Chincoteague at Quantico.

EASTVILLE DINNER 4 to 7 p.m., Eastville will have its Halloween Spooktacular community dinner at the community center, 17202 Courthouse Road. The town will provide the entree and guests are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. Costumes allowed.

PIG ROAST: 4 to 8 p.m., the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 159 will hold its pig roast. It is eat-in or carryout and costs $15 per meal. The menu is roast pork, homemade macaroni and cheese, baked apples, rolls, and dessert. The Post is located at 4023 Main St., Chincoteague.

HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS: 4:30 to 10 p.m. at the Great Pocomoke Fair, 2037 Broad St., Pocomoke City. Trunk or treat from 4:30 to 7 p.m. with a prize for the best-decorated space (setup by 4:15 p.m.). Costume contest at 6 p.m. at the livestock barn in five categories: up to 2 years, 3 to 6 years, 7 to 12 years, 13 to 17 years, and 18 years and older. There will be a coloring contest, pumpkin painting, bake sale, $1 haunted house opens at 4:30 p.m. Haunted hayrides begin at 6:30 p.m. A Halloween movie will begin at 7:30 p.m.

HALLOWEEN AT THE MUSEUM: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Delmarva Discovery Museum, 2 Market St., Pocomoke City. Dress up in a costume and participate in a “spooky scavener hunt.”

LIVE MUSIC: 1 to 4 p.m., open mic and jam session open to local musicians each Sunday at Cape Charles Brewing Company, 2198 Stone Road, Cape Charles. Free admission.

HARVEST GATHERING: 3 to 6 p.m., Salem’s Old-Fashioned Harvest Gathering at the Winter Quarters Log Cabin, Pocomoke City. Kids games. hayrides, apple dipping, broom races, smores, cider, and a cozy fire.

DESIGNER BAG BINGO: 3 p.m., the Accomack-Northampton Slumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will have designer bag bingo at the Mary N. Smith Cultural and Enrichment Center. Tickets are the door are $35. Doors open at 2 p.m.

LIBRARY EVENT: 5 p.m., the Parsley library will have a teen event called “Spooky Jukebox Trivia.”

SAFE NIGHT OUT: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Halloween Safe Night Out on the lawn of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, 5211 The Hornes, Eastville. There will be a trunk or treat, games, hayrides, and food and drink. Admission is free.
