Mrs. Carol-Ann Verstegen, 76, beloved wife of the late Bruce Verstegen, was born on May 28, 1946, in Flushing, N.Y. She departed this life on March 24, 2023, at her residence in Greenbackville.
In 1964, Carol graduated from Red Bank Regional High School. Later in life, she attended Brookdale Community College. This prepared her for her career at EBSCO.
Carol was passionate about community service. She was a member of the Tinton Falls First Aid Ladies Auxiliary CERT and leader of the Brownies and Girl Scouts Troop 693. She was also a member and queen of the Red Hat Society.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church in Pocomoke City, Md. with the Rev. Stephanie Clayville officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: daughters, Michelle, Deborah, and Jennifer; grandchildren, Lauren and Alex; siblings, Mary Grace and Michael; lifelong friends, Leigh and Patricia Coan; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
