Mr. Robert “Bob” Lee Hill, 75, of Pocomoke City, Md., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, at TidalHealth. Born Sept. 17, 1947, in Oak Hall, he was the only child of the late Woodrow and Faye Hill.
Bob graduated from Atlantic High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Leona, and enjoyed a life with two adored children. Bob worked as a machinist at Dresser Wayne Industries where he retired after 34 years of service. Bob had a second career working in the maintenance department at Walmart in Pocomoke for several years where co-workers and customers enjoyed his variety of jokes. Bob loved his family and was an avid deer hunter.
Bob is survived by his devoted cousin, Wayne Jester and wife Peggy; two godsons Sawyer Jester and Brady Herl; a close friend Lisa Fritts and her family; and cousins Wayne Hill and Hance Martin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Mae Hill; his 4-year-old son, Christopher Robbin Hill; and his 34-year-old daughter, Heather Leigh Hill.
A service to celebrate the life of Bob will be held on March 13, 2023, at Holloway Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851 at 1 p.m. with a public visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Pocomoke City, Md.
To honor their children, Leona and Bob started the Heather Leigh and Christopher Robbin Hill Foundation, with the plan to build a science-based playground to inspire youth of the community.
