Mrs. Leaner H. Conquest, 87, of Onancock, departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, at her residence, with her daughters by her side.
Born in Daugherty, she was the beloved daughter of the late Hencer Harmon Sr. and Marliean Harmon.
Lena worked at the Parksley shirt factory for a number of years and later worked at Perdue. After leaving Perdue, she cleaned houses and babysat until she retired.
She became a Jehovah’s Witness and had a passion for learning from the Bible. She enjoyed going into field service with her friends and sharing the truths she learned.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Brother Gregory Waters officiating. Interment was in the Household of Ruth Cemetery, Accomac.
She leaves the following to cherish her love: children, Geraldine Ficklin, Janet Conquest Powell, Shirley Godwin, and Ermon Conquest Jr.; special niece, Debora Harmon; step-daughter, Lisa Turner; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Harmon; two sisters, Annie Reed and Shirley Young; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
