Frances Ann Bailey, of Melfa, was selected as the 2023 Virginia Mother of the Year. She is the 62nd woman in Virginia history to hold this honor.
Bailey is the CEO of Frances Bailey Enterprises LLC, and the founder of the nonprofit organization Red Door Empowerment. She seeks to help women who were once like herself to overcome life’s obstacles, break free from bondage, and recover from life’s setbacks.
Bailey, along with honorees from states across the United States, will be recognized during the 88th National Convention of American Mothers Inc. this April. Since 1935, American Mothers Inc. has had the honor of searching for and selecting the Mother of the Year in every state, district, and territory in the country.
