Mr. Antonio Brown, 45, of New Church, departed this life on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Modest Town, Antonio was the beloved son of Calvin R. Godwin and Barrie A. Brown. Printist and Patsy Drummond also help raise him.

“Mont,” “BFats,” and “Fat Mr. Brown Face,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools. He graduated from Arcadia High School in Oak Hall in 1996. Mont was employed by Perdue Foods in Accomac.

Mont joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in 2022.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Temperanceville, with Minister Brian White officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mont is survived by his children: Terrica Bragg, Terry Bragg, Quan’Tae Wharton, and Jayceon Caldwell; grandson, Raul Mcleary; parents, Calvin Godwin, Barrie Brown, Printist and Patsy Drummond; his grandmother, Gladys Brent; siblings, Shymekia Brown, Anthony Taylor, Tremayne Joynes, Dysheta Wiggins, Nicole Drummond, Natasha Johnson, and Tieast Tull; his goddaughter, Ja’Nara Fauntleroy; a special nephew and niece, Acey and ShyAjah Mapp; and a host of special uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
