Deborah Nock

Ms. Deborah Nock, 58, of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of the Shore, quickly slipped into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Fla.

Born in Nassawadox, Deborah was the beloved daughter of the late Warren L. Toppin and the late Shirley M. Nock. She was affectionately known as “Debbie” or “Dip” by her family and friends.
Deborah was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools and at the Eastern Shore Community College.
Deborah loved the Lord and served the youth for many years at Gospel Temple Baptist Church in Keller and Kingdom Builders Ministry in New Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher and usher, along with other duties in the church. She later moved to Newport News, where she joined New Beech Grove Baptist Church.
She worked many years in the Northampton County Public School System and private daycare facilities.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, from Anointed Word of Deliverance Ministries in Keller, with the Rev. James Nock officiating. Interment was in Snead’s Memorial U.M. Church Cemetery, Keller.
Deborah leaves to cherish fond memories: two sons and one daughter, Derrick Nock, Shantel Nock, and Carl Nock; three brothers, James Nock, Jermaine Nock, and Marcus Nock; one sister, Nikita Nock; three grandchildren; several adopted grandchildren; two goddaughters, Chicquita Batten and Ronata Thomas-Pugh; spiritual sister, Maggie Batten; 10 uncles; five aunts; and a host of adopted children, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
