Mr. Ronnie Eugene Williams, 81, of Bloxom, husband of Linda Hart Ayres, passed away Dec. 11, 2022, at his residence.
Born on Sept. 12, 1941, in Deep Creek, he was the son of the late Louis Williams and the latee Ruth Bruce Williams. Ronnie was a waterman in his early years and worked for Glatfelter Pulp Wood Company in Salisbury, Md., for many years. He was an avid horseman, racing at Ocean Downs. He also enjoyed go-carts and cutting his grass.
Other than his wife, Linda, Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Melinda Dawn Thornton; a stepson, Ken Ayres; a brother, David Lee Williams; three grandsons, Josh Williams, George Hope, and Ron Williams; two granddaughters, Ellie Bagwell and Chelsea Jews; and great-grandchildren, Adam and Ava Williams, Kaylee and Makenna Hope, Marleigh, Gaven, and Avery Williams, Carlee Annis, and Levi and Colton Bagwell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hart Williams; and sons, C.L. Williams and Ronnie Lee Williams.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at 2 p.m., from Parksley Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark Layne officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Parksley Baptist Church.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Parksley Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
