Mrs. Mary Mapp Edmonds Bradford, of Ellicott City, Md., passed away after a short illness on Oct. 25, 2022. Born in Mappsburg on Oct. 17, 1930, she was a graduate of Central High School and Mary Washington College.
She was the beloved wife of the Maj. Wilson E. Bradford Jr. (now deceased); cherished mother of Wilson “Bill” E. Bradford III and his partner, Rose Bezou, and Catherine “Kate” B. McFadden and her husband, David, and David Gill; loving aunt of Mary Jane Johnston, Ron Wray and his wife, Gayle, and Scott Edmonds; and caring great-aunt of Evan Johnston, Emily Johnson, Shannon Liberto, and Tara Ford. Mrs. Bradford is predeceased by her parents, Ned and Kate (Scott) Edmonds, of Mappsburg; her siblings, Elizabeth “Tib” Wray, Roy “Scotty” Edmonds, and Jane Ford; and nephews, Doug Ford and Edward Edmonds.
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at Slack Funeral Home P.A., 3871 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at 11 a.m., at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 9120 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042.
