Mr. Daniel L. “Danny” Tweedy Sr., 64, of Parksley, husband of Susie Nesselrode Tweedy, passed away Oct. 11, 2022, in Parksley.
Born on Dec. 9, 1957, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Morris Hayden Tweedy and the late Barbara Lee Massie Johnson. Danny worked as a car salesman and enjoyed music, gardening, and football. Known as “Danny Wop,” he was a local musician playing in the band Full Sail, among others. His true passion in life was his music and his dear, close family.
Other than his wife, Danny is survived by a son, Daniel Lee Tweedy Jr., and wife, Etta; a daughter, Ashley Tweedy, and fiancé, Michael Lee; two brothers, Terry Johnson and wife, Ellen, and Michael Johnson; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and family members.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at 4 p.m., from Off The Rails Restaurant in Parksley.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the Food Bank of the Eastern Shore.
