Adolph Watson


Mr. Adolph Watson, 85, of Willingboro, N.J., formerly of the Shore, left this life for his eternal heavenly home on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022.
Born in Atlantic, Adolph was the beloved son of the late Cleveland and Alice Watson. Adolph accepted Christ as his personal savior at a very early age and joined St. Joseph’s Holiness Church in Atlantic.
After graduating from Mary Nottingham Smith High School, Adolph relocated to Pleasantville, N.J., where he was successful in holding several jobs. He retired from Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., after over 20 years of service.
Adolph united in holy matrimony to Madlyn Taylor, and the two of them were blessed to have celebrated 35 beautiful years of marriage.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, from the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Pastor Valerie Harmon officiating. Interment was in the New Beginnings U.M. Church Cemetery, Wattsville.
Those left to cherish the many fond memories are his wife, Madlyn; sons, Wardell DuPont and Dwight Taylor; daughter, Argatheria Vazquez; three grandsons; one granddaughter; brothers, James Watson, Ronald Watson, and Bobby Watson; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
