Kelvin L. Poulson Sr.


Mr. Kelvin L. Poulson Sr., 68, of Painter, departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Shore Health & Rehab Center in Parksley.
Born in Nassawadox, Kelvin was the beloved son of the late George and Gertrude Poulson. Kelvin was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and was a 1972 graduate of Onancock High School. He was employed at Perdue Farms in Accomac for several years.
At an early age, Kelvin joined Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Bayside. In later years, he attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wardtown with his wife, Karen.
He married Karen Rogers Poulson. They shared 14 years of love until her passing on Aug. 7, 2022.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, from Ebenezer Baptist Church, Exmore, with the Rev. Milton P. Bunting officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Ricardo Poulson Sr.; stepdaughter, who was like a daughter, Vernetta Anderson; daughter-in-law, Shakeisha Nock-Poulson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special cousin, Mareitta Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
