Mr. Frederick Arthur Savage, 80, died at home on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022. He had an eight-month battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Koontz Savage, to whom he would have been married 59 years on Dec. 24. Fred was the son of the late Chauncey Savage and the late Wilda J. Suehowicz. He was predeceased by his daughter, Robin, who died Sept. 14, 2013. Fred was a member of the Onley United Methodist Church.
Fred will always be remembered for his personality, his smile, and always, always joking around with everyone. He had the most laid back personality and was always so easy going. Fred never met a stranger. He retired from Carroll County, Md., as a trainer for school bus drivers. After coming to the Eastern Shore, he worked for Kempsville Lumber until he retired again. Later he worked for Mark Hill Sand and Gravel until he retired for the final time.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Jack Hinkle, and his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
