Mrs. Rosalie Stevens Hart, 86, of Keller, was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Donald L. Hart Sr., on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Born Jan. 24, 1936, in Hacksneck, she was the daughter of the late Jefferson Floyd Stevens Sr. and the late Etta Bell Stevens.

In June of 1954, Rosalie graduated from Central High School and just days later, she married her sweetheart and the love of her life, with whom she shared 64 beautiful years.

Rosalie gave her all to anything and everything she did and gladly went out of her way to help those in need. She was the longtime secretary and bookkeeper for Gulf Stream Nursery in Wachapreague and later for the ARC of the Eastern Shore in Exmore, where she retired. She was a devoted member of Mears Memorial United Methodist Church and remained loyal to her faith in the Lord throughout her life. Rosalie’s family was her greatest blessing, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved most. There was never an occasion she didn’t have her camera handy, ensuring she preserved each precious memory for generations to come. Rosalie embodied the definition of a true Christian woman through the infinite love and compassion she gave without question or hesitation.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rosalie was also reunited with her son, Lemuel Ray Hart, and brother, Jefferson F. Stevens Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Donald L. Hart Jr., and his wife, Beth, of Keller; grandchildren, Dereck Lee Hart and his wife, Courtney, of Keller, Donald L. Hart III and his wife, Sasha, of Henderson, Nev., Kristin Hart, of Madison Heights, Va., Avery Hart Long and her husband, Patrick, of Belle Haven, Anna Lynn Hart, of Keller, and Hillary B.
