The Shore Little League major girls softball team traveled to Virginia Beach Wednesday, June 29, to face the 2-1 Virginia Beach team in the Virginia District 8 Championship Tournament. The Shore team walked into the matchup with a 2-0 record, having previously defeated Virginia Beach 6-4 in the opening round. The Shore team won this matchup 6-2 to win the District 8 Championship. The team will travel to Bridgewater to play in the state tournament Wednesday, July 13.
The same evening, the Shore major boys baseball team faced Fleet Park. The Shore team entered this game 2-0, but lost 13-0. The team played again Thursday, June 30, against Aragona Pembroke.
