Mr. John Edward Farlow Sr., better known as Eddie, 69, husband of the late Thelma Simpson Farlow and a resident of Willis Wharf, passed Monday, June 27, 2022, at this residence. A native of Willis Wharf, he was the son of the late Bernie Todd Farlow and the late Edna Bell Farlow. A retired commercial fisherman, Eddie loved motorcycles, the Washington Redskins, muscle cars, seafood (catching and eating it), fishing, Swap Shop, and yard saling.
He is survived by two sons, John E. Farlow Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Willis Wharf, and Matthew Steele Farlow, of Willis Wharf; one brother, Wayne Farlow, and his wife, Virgie, of Church Neck; two sisters, Bernice Booth, of Willis Wharf, and Ellen Ellerbe, of Exmore; and three step-grandsons, Brandon Wroten, Nathaniel Bowen, and Matthew Bowen. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Todd Farlow.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 1 p.m., at Johnson’s United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Curtis Lucy officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA Eastern Shore Inc., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
