Mrs. Lila Lee Smith Marsh, 101, wife of the late Charles Ackley Marsh and a resident of Onancock, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.

Born March 15, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Charles Smith and the late Annie Mae Parks Smith, of Tylerton, Md., on Smith Island, Md., where she was both born and raised. Before her last move to Onancock, she was a longtime resident of Harborton, was an active member of Harborton United Methodist Church where she was a choir member, served as treasurer of the United Methodist Women, and was the longtime custodian. Mrs. Marsh was a homemaker, loved gardening, cooking for everyone, and being with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Wilson, and husband, Jack, of Onancock; grandchildren, Julie Bodrey and husband, Josh, of Charlottesville, Va., and Todd Wilson, of Onancock; great-granddaughter, Sarah Wilson, of Onancock; and six nieces and seven nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Marsh was predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Bradshaw, Edwin Smith, Harold Smith, Gene Smith, Jimmy Smith, Billy Smith, and Peggy Ann Corbin.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 1 p.m., from the Harborton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Everett Landon officiating. A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service, and interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock.
