Mrs. Janice Irene Golden, 79, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at her home in New Church, surrounded by family and friends. She was born Feb. 5, 1943, in Clinton, Iowa, a daughter to the late Eugene and Francella Hawk.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Golden Sr., and a daughter, Patricia Andrews.
She leaves to cherish her memory a special friend, Howard Saukites; three children and their spouses, David Golden Jr. (Jayme), of New Church, Keith Golden (Monica), of Norfolk, and Laurie Golden, of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, John Hawk (Judy), of Burlington, Iowa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Other family members include a host of nieces and nephews and their families, as well as extended family and friends.
Janice enjoyed many adventures, sprouting roots in multiple states across the country as the spouse of a 22-year military veteran, making friends wherever life took her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sharing jokes, and reminiscing. Her hobbies included geocaching, crocheting, watching Nascar races, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
At her request, there will be no public viewing or graveside services.
