Mr. Nathan Owen Walker, 82, of Pocomoke City, Md., passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. Born on May 28, 1940, in Hopewell, Va., he was the son of the late Owen and Alice Browder Walker.

Nathan served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. After an honorable discharge from the Coast Guard, he enjoyed a 40-year career in the building supply industry, spending 12 of those years as branch manager of Adkins Company in Pocomoke City. He was a member of the Wicomico Masonic Lodge #91 and Boumi Temple in Baltimore. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pocomoke City for over 50 years, serving as chairman of the house committee for 10 years.

Nathan enjoyed woodworking, boating, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family at the beach.

Nathan is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Paradee Walker; two daughters, Lori Roth (Stephen), of Annandale, Va., and Lisa Voss (Douglas), of Pocomoke City; two grandsons, Erik Voss and Adam Voss; two granddaughters, Anne Roth and Claire Roth; a sister, Joyce Pawlowski (Andrew), of Chester, Va.; and two nephews and one niece.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2022, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Pocomoke City. A visitation will be held one hour prior starting at 10 a.m. Pastor Wayne Ayer will officiate. Interment will take place following the service at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Pocomoke City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pocomoke City, c/o Building Fund, 204 Fourth St., Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
