Mr. Stephen Christopher “Steve” Parks, 52, of Tangier Island, lost his battle with addiction on Sunday, May 8, 2022, in Crisfield, Md. Born Nov. 30, 1969, in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of the late Rose Lee Parks.

Steve was raised in Delaware and graduated from Glasgow High School in Bear, Del. As a child, he spent summers with his family on Tangier, and ultimately returned to live in the place he called home. Steve loved music and attended countless concerts throughout his life. He enjoyed cooking and always saw the beauty in old cars. He worked as a ceramic tile setter and was talented and passionate about his craft.

In addition to his mother, Steve was predeceased by his grandparents, Owen Ashton Parks Sr. and Isabell Lee Thorne Parks; and uncles, David, Jeffrey, and Hugh Parks.

He is survived by his children, Jessica Paige Parks, of Stafford, Va., Jacob Parks and his wife, Katelyn, of Honeywell, Pa., and Jackson Parks, of Tangier; grandchildren, Kingsley, Kyleigh, and Madeline Parks; uncle, Owen Ashton Parks Jr.; aunt, Marie Parks; cousins, Carli, Michael, Jamie, Paul, and Carey; his companion, and mother of his youngest son, Carolee Pruitt; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A service in remembrance and celebration of Steve’s life will be held at Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11 a.m.
