Mr. Douglas Ray Parker, better known as “Dougie,” 69, husband of Maxine Henches Parker and a resident of Cape Charles, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. A native of Oyster, he was the son of the late William “Digger” Spencer Parker and the late Virginia “Skip” Brady Parker and was retired from Bay Shore Concrete.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Douglas Parker and his wife, Melanie, of Cheriton, Cheyenne Nottingham and her husband, Slick, of Providence Forge, Va., and Wendy Parker Eder and her husband, Bobby, of Cape Charles; his brother, Wayne “Slick” Parker, and his wife, Pat, of Delaware; 24 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. He was predeceased by three brothers, William Spencer Parker Jr., Randall Lee Parker, and Alvin “Buddy” Parker, and a sister, Darlene Parker Brady.

Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Cape Charles Cemetery, with Barry Downing officiating. To honor his request, there will be no viewing.
