Lady Vikings Softball Team Defeats Atlantic Shores Christian

The Broadwater Vikings varsity softball team hosted Atlantic Shores Christian School Monday, April 25. The Vikings won 10-7.

In the top of the first inning, Atlantic Shores took an early 1-0 lead. The Vikings responded in the bottom of the first inning when Taylor Leland scored a run off a ground ball by Kacey Ford to tie the score. A few plays later, Harlin Johnson hit a single, allowing Ford and Hayley Nalls to score two runs and give the Vikings command of the game. The Vikings added another run in the second inning and six more in the third inning, to keep the game out of Atlantic Shore’s reach. 

Ramsey Revelle pitched the entire game for the Vikings, allowing seven hits, walking three batters, and striking out three. Revelle led the offense with four hits. Leland had three hits, two RBIs, and three runs. Ford earned two hits, three RBIs, and two runs. Johnson had two hits, two RBIs, and one run. Suzanna Long and Savannah Lunger each earned one hit.
