Mrs. Fannie V. Williams, 87, of Melfa, was called to her heavenly home on April 9, 2022, at her residence.

Born in Painter, Fannie was the beloved daughter of the late Edward A. Johnson Jr. and the late Gladys N. Johnson. Fannie was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. In later years, she earned her certificate in nursing and became a certified nursing assistant. Fannie worked for the Hermitage in Onancock for 23 years before her retirement.

Graveside services were held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles, with Pastor Ralph Harmon Jr. officiating.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her son, Vernon Custis; two daughters, Dr. Regina Williams-Rehkamp and Nicole Williams; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
