Ms. Dana Lynn Corson, 54, of Lake Butler, Fla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla., following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 6, 1967, in Mears, and graduated from Arcadia High School. After graduation, she moved to Starke, Fla., in 1988 and later resided in Lake Butler for the last 20 years. She worked for the state of Florida for many of those years. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a homemaker. She always had a happy smile and a unique laugh that always made you feel comfortable being around her. She loved to cook and decorate for the holidays, take care of animals (a lot), and help her niece (Sissy) take care of her three children.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Frances Darlene (Stevens) Lafferty, of Virginia; and her sister, Nova Clyatt (Lafferty).
Survivors include her father, Grover Lee Lafferty Jr.; children, Keith Corson, of Starke, and Vance Paladino, of Lake Butler; siblings, Roy Lafferty, Bill Lafferty, G.L. Lafferty, all of Virginia; niece, Arica Brown, and her children, Drayton, Dalen, and Aylah, of Lake Butler; and nephews, Adam Adkins and Aaron Adkins, of Lake Butler.
