Ms. Constance “Connie” Watkinson Fentress, 71, of Parksley, passed away March 19, 2022, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley.
Born April 27, 1950, in Greenbush, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Watkinson Sr and the late Garnet Watkinson. A graduate of ODU, Connie worked as a registrar for ESCC. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church and truly loved the Lord. An avid reader, Connie was very involved in the Accomack County Public Library for many years. She believed in reading and education and would often lead story time at the library during the summer. She also enjoyed coffee, going out on girls shopping days, and decorating for Christmas.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth E. Fentress; a granddaughter, Constance Grace “Gracie” Scott; a brother, Kenneth Watkinson, Jr.; and a niece, Tiffany Watkinson.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 3 p.m, from the Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Welch and the Rev. David Bryan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toward funeral expenses: Thornton Funeral Home, P.O. Box 264, Parksley, VA 23421. Memorial contributions may also be made to Zion Baptist Church or the Accomack County Public Library.
