Yellow Jackets Softball Team Takes Down Franklin in Perfect Game

The Lady Yellow Jackets softball team hosted Franklin Friday, March 18. Northampton’s Jillian Spence was on fire for the Yellow Jackets in the circle, recording her first career perfect game, with a total of 13 strikeouts in five innings of play. Northampton did not commit a single error in the field behind its dominate pitcher. The team also dominated on offense in the 20-0 win over Franklin. 

Charlotte Henderson led the team with three hits in five at bats with two RBI singles and an RBI double. Mallory Hook and Marlena Dzurko each drove in additional runs on four hits apiece throughout the game, with Hook going four hits for four times at the plate. Peyton Sayers and Jillian Spence had multiple hits as well, adding to the Yellow Jackets’ total of 18 hits on Friday afternoon. Northampton extended its record to 2-0 with the win over Franklin.
