Ms. Lorraine Andreatch, 91, of Chincoteague Island, formerly of Tinton Falls, N.J., passed away March 20, 2022, at Commonwealth Senior Living in Onancock.

Graduated from Bound Brook High School and Beauty School in Plainfield.

She was born at home in Raritan, N.J., on March 27, 1930, a daughter to the late Steven and Frances (Gurish) Thomas.

She was a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church on Chincoteague Island.

She was a beautician and had her own beauty shop in South Plainfield, N.J., known as the House of Beauty, for many years.  She had her own ceramics studio where she taught many people the love of ceramics.  She was the round-table commissioner for the Cub Scouts for the then Watchung Area Council BSA, and a den leader for Pack 24. She volunteered her time at the Saint Leo’s Roman Catholic Church in Lincroft, N.J.  She was a member of  the garden club in Tinton Falls, N.J., and a member of the Crafty Christians. She loved to cook and could make an art form out of meals. She was also an avid square dancer with the Middletown Ramblers.

Lorraine is survived by her loving sons, Allen Andreatch, of Chincoteague Island, and Thomas Peter Andreatch, of Pocomoke City, Md.; and grandson, Steven Andreatch, of Newark, Del.

The family wishes to thank all the many friends and family she had. She loved all of you.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Peter Andreatch.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
