The Broadwater Vikings boys varsity basketball team hosted the Chincoteague Ponies Wednesday, Feb.16. The Vikings defeated the Ponies 66-47.
The Vikings established a 23-5 lead in the first quarter and never relinquished it. At halftime, the Vikings were on top 45-18. In the second half, the Ponies gathered a bit of momentum on offense, scoring 29 points. The Vikings put up 21 points in the second half, enough to keep the game just out of the Ponies’ reach.
Bradyn Washington led the Vikings’ offense with 18 points. Kolby Evans had 11 points. Braden Justice had 9 points. Malik Battle earned 7 points.
Jordan Harper led the Ponies’ offense with 15 points. Landon King earned 14 points. Jake Harper had 10 points.
