The National Weather Service has issued its final briefing for the snow event this evening through early Saturday morning.
Threats: 4 to 6 inches of snow for far southeast Virginia (including southside Hampton Roads), northeast North Carolina east of the Chowan River; 2 to 4 inches of snow from interior northeast North Carolina through the Virginia Eastern Shore; and 1 to 2 inches of snow from south-central Virginia to portions of southeast Maryland.
Timing: Through tonight into early Saturday morning.
Location: The greatest impacts are expected in Hampton Roads, northeast North Carolina, and the Virginia Eastern Shore.
