Northampton varsity girls basketball season has returned. Last Friday, Dec. 3 the Yellow Jackets hosted the Lancaster Red Devils in front of an energetic home crowd. The Yellow Jackets lost 37-3.

In the first half, the Yellow Jackets fell behind 22-0. In the third quarter, Jayden Jenkins hit a 3-pointer to place the Yellow Jackets on the scoreboard. Jenkins’ shot gave the team a burst of momentum and they began to slow down the Red Devil’s offense with stronger defensive pressure. Throughout the rest of the game, the Yellow Jackets struggled to generate points offensively.
