Mr. Eric G. Ames Jr., of Nacogdoches, Texas, formerly of the Shore, departed this life Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, in Greenbush.
Born in Nassawadox, Eric was the beloved son of Eric G. Ames Sr. and Sonya D. Reid. He was affectionately known as “EZ” by his family and friends. He was currently employed at his family business, Waffles with a Twist, in Texas.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Min. Darry Ames Sr. officiating. Interment was in the Wharton Cemetery, Parksley.
Eric leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Sonya Reid; father, Eric Ames Sr.; daughter, Emani Ames; son, Jakhylan Blakely; sisters, Erica Ames and Heather Ayres; brothers, Terrence Reid, Jordan Ames, and Hakeem “TJ” Johnson; three nephews; one niece; five aunts; five uncles; maternal grandmother, Rose Savage; maternal grandfather, Warner Byrd; paternal grandmother, “Sweetie Pie”; special friend, Jamar “J Dunk” Duncan; and a host of cousins and friends.
