Mrs. Gwendolyn Elaine Swam, 71, wife of the late Dale S. Swam and a resident of Exmore, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at her residence. A native of Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Chester Tackett and the late Sally Mae Bently Tackett.
She is survived by three children, Sandy Burlock, of Exmore, Mendy Edwards, of Nassawadox, and Anthony Edwards, of Harboton; two stepchildren, Crissy Swam and Amy Swam, both of Maryland; two sisters, Peggy Crow and her husband, Clyde, of Maryland, and Kathy Garrett and her husband, George, of Pennsylvania; two brothers, David Tackett, of Pennsylvania, and John Kennedy, of Virginia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring.
