Mrs. Virginia L. Nock, of Onancock, peacefully went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Va.
Born in Savageville, Virginia was the beloved daughter of Robert L. Nock and Mary N. Moore. She was affectionately known as “Jenny” or “Ginny” by her family and friends. She was married to Robert L. Nock (deceased) for 42 years. Although there were no children from this union, they raised a special niece as their daughter, Joe Ann Nock.
She worked for a number of years at Holly Farms, which is currently Tyson Foods, and over 20 years at Eastern Shore Nurseries.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Oreatha Cross officiating. Interment was in the Gaskins Chapel AME Church Cemetery, Savageville.
Virginia leaves to cherish her precious memories: nieces, Joe Ann Nock, Delores Blair, and Geraldine Nock; great-nephew, Mark Nock; and a host of nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; a devoted friend to the end, Milton Drummond; and a host of other relatives and friends.
