Mrs. Carrie Burton Williams, 60, beloved wife of Dennis Kent “Denny” Williams and a resident of Parksley, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Carrie was born to Betty Ann Burton in Salisbury, Md., on July 18, 1961.

Carrie worked as a licensed real estate agent with Coldwell Banker until 1999 when she and Denny opened Affordable Auto Sales in Nelsonia. As a longtime member of Baptist Bible Church, Carrie never wavered in her faith and commitment as a Christian woman. She loved Christmas, and there wasn’t a room in her home that didn’t have its own perfectly decorated tree throughout the holidays. Married for 43 years, Carrie and Denny built a beautiful life together, a life defined by their devotion to one another, their family, and their Lord and Savior.

In addition to her husband, Carrie is survived by her cousin, who was more like a brother, Gary Burton, and his wife, Cindy, and their children, Keith and Kyle; in-laws, Judy Wilson and her husband, Pastor Richard Wilson, Phyllis Taylor and her husband, JC, Charlotte Meek and her husband, Rob, Debbie Williams, and their families; the Layne family, especially Logan Layne, with whom she shared a special bond; and many other cousins and extended family members.

Funeral services were held at Baptist Bible Church Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Fletcher officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
