Miss Chiquita Drummond, 53, of Melfa, surrounded by her loved ones, departed this life Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at her home.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., Chiquita was the beloved daughter of Milton and Margaret Drummond. She was affectionately known as “Kita” as well as names that she renamed herself, “Chiquita Banana” and “Kita Mana.” Kita was employed at the Eastern Shore Community Service Board in Exmore for about 30 years.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Pastor Stephany Hanshaw officiating. Interment was in the Burton’s Chapel Cemetery, Keller.
Chiquita leaves to cherish fond memories: her mother and father, Milton and Margaret Drummond; sister, Tammy Satchell; brother-in-law, Craig; one niece; three nephews; two uncles, Sammy and James Drummond; one aunt, Betty Ann Drummond; three great aunts; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; four loving friends, Charlotte, Connie, Twiggy, and Willa Mae; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
