Miss Marquette L. Wescott, 48, of Keller, departed this life Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
Born in Nassawadox, Marquette was the beloved daughter of the Rev. Barry Mears and the late Frances Ann Wescott. After high school, she decided to enter the workforce. She became a personal care assistant and continued in this field until her health prevented her from doing so.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. James Nock officiating. Interment was in the Snead’s Memorial U.M.C. Cemetery, Keller.
Marquette leaves to cherish her memories: her loving children, Dominque Wescott and Shykeva Snead; three grandchildren; father, the Rev. Barry Mears; sister, Shanaeya Christian; brother, Anthony Stevens; special friend, Acey Mapp; best friends, Linda Smith and Janice Ballard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
