Mrs. Linda Carol Alward, 71, of Atlantic, passed away Aug. 3, 2021, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., Dec. 6, 1949, a daughter to the late William F. Schapley and Hilda (Clark) Broussard.
She was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church in Stockton, Md.
Linda is survived by her loving spouse of 51 years, George R. Alward III, of Atlantic; son, George R. Alward IV, and his wife, Candice, of Atlantic; grandson, Ian Alward, of Atlantic; granddaughter, Maggie Alward, of Atlantic; sister, Dolores Lee, and her husband, William, of Gautier, Miss.; brother, Richard Broussard, and his girlfriend, Tina, of Biloxi, Miss.; brother-in-law, Richard Alward, and his wife, Lisa, of Dennis, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Sydney Broussard; and a sister, Denise Broussard.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at 3 p.m., at the John Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Temperanceville, with Pastor Wayne Hart officiating.
