William D. Henning, II of Chincoteague Island, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2021. He was born in Bellefonte, PA on November 4, 1950. Bill was the son of William D. and Virginia K. Henning.

After retiring from CINTAS First Aid after more than 20 years, Bill continued working at the Penn State Bryce Jordan Center and later working at the KOA Campground in Chincoteague.

Bill was a devoted member of the Kiwanis. He was a member of several clubs; the Mill Hall, Bald Eagle, Nittany Valley, and Chincoteague. He served as a lieutenant governor in Pennsylvania and he was once president of each club.

Bill is survived by his wife, Gael, of Chincoteague, his son Chad E. Henning and his wife Nicole, of Bellefonte, his daughter, Christie D. Lose and her husband, David, of Mill Hall; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Madison; a brother, Howard (Patti) Henning of Furnace, Pa., his sister, Cathie (Terry) Dick, of Furnace, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Charles (Bonnie) Henning.

A memorial service will be held at the Chincoteague Island KOA Campground Activity Center on Saturday, August 28, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Reynolds officiating.
