Under relentless pressure from a determined King William team, Nandua’s season ended at home Monday night in the first round of the playoffs.

The Warriors built a 2-0 lead with opportunistic goals, and kept the Cavaliers frustrated and flat at times with solid goal keeping, but the speed of King William’s strikers proved too much for Nandua as the game wore on.

King William’s Emily Waters and Riley Frazier were quick to the ball all afternoon, and finally broke the plane in the second half as Waters sent a crossing pass to Frazier for an open look. Minutes later, Waters ran out for a clean look to tie the game and signal a momentum shift. Both Frazier and Waters scored another goal apiece to double up the Warriors.
