Mr. Samuel Preston Bundick II, 63, of Carlisle, Pa., passed away June 7, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 25, 1957, in Painter, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Smith) Bundick.

Samuel was a U.S. Army veteran and a recruiter for the Army, last stationed at the Harrisburg MEPC. He was a member of the Shriners, Freemasons, and was a legionnaire for American Legion Post 101. He enjoyed bowling, riding his bike, debates, and most of all his grandchildren.

Samuel is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deirdre (McCloud) Bundick; children, Yaree Bundick, Chauntele Phillips (Alonzo), Dewayne Bundick, Theron Bundick, and Samuel Bundick III; grandchildren, Madeline Bundick, Talia Bundick, Terrell Brown, Ayanna Brown, Jamari Brown, Ameer Brown, and Samuel Bundick IV; five brothers, Martin Bundick (Rhoza), Milton Bundick (Judy), Keith Bundick, Ronald Bundick (Barbara), and Andre Bundick (Miranda); three sisters, Rosemary Vinnie (Charles), Sandra Harmon (Steve), and Diane Perkins.

Samuel was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Bundick and Gladys Scarborough; two brothers, George Bundick Jr. and McKinley Bundick Sr.

At the request of the family, the viewing and graveside service will be held privately. Samuel will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle.
