New Church Woman Charged with Arson, Murder in Fatal House Fire

A woman was arrested and charged with arson and second-degree murder after a man was found dead at a house fire Thursday night on Bishop Drive in New Church.
Delbert Dickerson, 59, who lived at the home, was identified as the victim by Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents, according to Virginia State Police spokesperson Sgt. Michelle Anaya.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police responded to the structure fire in the 31000 block of Bishop Road Thursday around 8 p.m.
Kimiko Tenallie Dickerson, 40, also a resident of the home, was arrested and taken to the Accomack County jail, where she remained incarcerated with no bond Friday.
