Mr. Bryan Eugene Sterner, 63, husband of Tammie Johnson Sterner, of Mappsville, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2021, at his residence.
Born July 11, 1957, in Hanover, Pa., he was the son of the late Richard Eugene Sterner and the late Carolyn Ruth Keagy. Bryan was a crane operator for DD Roofing. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Pennsylvania, taught martial arts, and was a drummer. He was also the president of the Maltese Warriors MC, where he earned the nickname “Stixx.”
Other than his wife, Tammie, Bryan is survived by a son, Jason Sterner; two daughters, Nikki Murawski (Jared Murawski) and Casey Johnson (Dalton Elliott); a sister, Robin Pappas (Steven); a brother, Michael Todd; a sister-in-law, Laurie Sterner; his stepfather, Butch Todd; grandchildren, Kyndal Murawski, Carter Murawski, Remi Murawski, Gavin Sterner, Nash Elliott, and Bryar Elliott; four nephews; one niece; and three great-nieces.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Sterner.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 10, at 2 p.m., at 14077 Lankford Highway, Mappsville, VA 23407, with the Rev. John Gillespie officiating.
Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
