Man Charged with Murder in Shooting Death in Onancock

An Onancock man is in jail, charged with murder, after deputies found Brian Lee Daley, 49, also of Onancock, fatally shot Sunday evening on Jackson Street in Onancock.
Brandon Jamar Beach, 30, was arrested and charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is currently incarcerated in Accomack County Jail with bond denied.
Investigation into the shooting led to warrants being obtained for Beach, according to a press release from Accomack County Sheriff Todd Wessells.
The investigation is continuing to identify other suspects, according to the release.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report at around 10:07 p.m. Sunday of gunshots fired in the area of Jackson Street, according to Wessells.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Daley unresponsive, sitting in a vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Daley’s body was taken to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office to determine cause of death.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Onancock Police Department, Eastern Shore Drug Task Force, Virginia State Police, Parksley Police Department, Onley Police Department, Onancock Volunteer Fire Department, and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety.
